An Employee-Owned Book Printing Company

Would you like to speak to the owner?

Just pick up the phone and give us a ring. The person who answers your call is a Thomson-Shore owner…along with the press operator, the bindery assistant, the shipping clerk, the I.T. expert, and the rest of the Thomson-Shore staff.

Thomson-Shore is 100% employee-owned. Because we own the company, we make books like our future depends on it. Each of us is personally invested in doing the right thing – for our customers, our colleagues, and the company. Every person who touches your book as it transitions from electronic document to a printed and bound book is an owner committed to creating the best book for you.

Thomson-Shore started an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1984. By 1998, the ESOP purchased nearly all of Thomson-Shore’s stock and in February 2009 they purchased the remaining shares to become 100% employee owned.  Today all employees attend quarterly meetings where the full financials of the company are disclosed and discussed. Other goals, successes and failures are communicated daily as we continue our quest and primary goal of any good “owner” – to make the customers happy and make our business a success.

We know that you have a choice of book manufacturers. We also know that you'll stick with the one who listens like a good friend, advises you like a caring expert, tells you the truth, never misses a detail, and acts like they own the place.
